1. Petitioners are the in-laws of the victim lady. It is contended victim had deserted her matrimonial home earlier.

Subsequently, the matter was resolved and she returned to her matrimonial home.

Allegations of torture and misappropriation of streedhan articles are out and out false. Husband is on bail. They pray for anticipatory bail.

2. Learned lawyer for the State opposes the prayer.

3. We have considered the materials on record. Victim had left her matrimonial home in 2012. An ex parte divorce decree was passed. Subsequently parties reconciled and started residing together. It is contended allegations of torture and misappropriation of streedhan articles are false. Principal accused i.e. the husband is on regular bail.

4. Keeping in mind the aforesaid facts and the extent of involvement of the petitioners i.e. the in-laws in the crime we are inclined to grant anticipatory bail to them. Signed By :

Accordingly, we direct that in the event of arrest, the petitioners shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs. 10,000/- each with two sureties of like amount each, to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer and also subject to the conditions as laid down under section 482(2) of BNSS 2023.

6. Petitioners shall appear before the jurisdictional court and pray for regular bail within four weeks from date.
