It is the principal grievance of the petitioner that some of the teaching and non-teaching staff of the college tried to influence him to increase the marks of a student who happens to be the son of a Governing Body member of the college. In support of the allegations, the petitioner has annexed various complaints, phone call recordings between the petitioner and some other teaching and non-teaching staff of the college.

Upon perusal of the annexures to the writ petition, I do not find the nature of allegation is

serious enough for investigation by any impartial authority as prayed for by the petitioner.

It has also been submitted by the petitioner that the funding of the Physics department has been stopped by the college.

Since this allegation concerns the academic interest of the students, I grant liberty to the petitioner to make a representation before the Inspector of Colleges, respondent no. 7 regarding stoppage of funding of the Physics department of the college within ten days from date.

If the representation is made, the same should be considered and in accordance with law by respondent no.7 within a period of one month from the date of representation.

Accordingly, WPA 28530 of 2023 is disposed of.
