By our order dated January 19, 2026, we had recorded that the petitioner sought for an adjournment on the ground that service on the private respondents had not yet been completed, although the State was represented through counsel. Thus, on the prayer of the writ petitioner, the matter was adjourned till January 27, 2026.

The matter was next taken up on February 09, 2026, when an accommodation was again sought on behalf of the petitioner. We had recorded in the order dated February 09, 2026 that accommodation was granted on the ground of serious illness of learned lead counsel for the petitioner, but as a last chance to the petitioner to move the matter.

Even today, at the time of call, none appears to move the writ petition.

Hence, WPLRT 221 of 2025 is dismissed for default without any order as to costs.

Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
