Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the allegation of attempt to rape is against the elder brother-in-law. There exists a civil dispute and a proceeding under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure was pending in respect of the property. 2.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the de-facto complainant strongly opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail. He submits that the petitioner assaulted the victim badly, resulting in scalp injury that required eight stitches for repair. She was hospitalized for eight days. There was also a fracture of one of the arms. 3.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State relies on the case diary and opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail. She submits that there is a scalp injury that required eight stitches for repair. The victim was hospitalized for a considerable period.

Considering the above and the other incriminating materials available in the case diary, I do not consider this to be a fit case for granting anticipatory bail.

The application for anticipatory bail is, thus, rejected. 6.
