Mr. Santanu Talukdar Ms. Shalini Bairagi ... for the petitioner.
Mr. Suman De Ms. Debjani Das Gupta ... for the State.
Report submitted by the State is taken on record. It appears from the report that upon verification of the Indian passport seized from the petitioner, it was found that the passport was issued on the basis of documents like school leaving certificate, voters' identity card and voters list submitted by the petitioner which were found to be fake upon verification.
In view of the above, this Court is not inclined to favour the petitioner with an order of bail at this stage. Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected. The application for bail, being CRM (SB) 172 of 2024, is, thus, disposed of.
Case Diary be returned.
