1. Petitioner has preferred the present writ petition seeking grant of electricity connection to his plot no. 1127 JL no. 267 Mouza Altor under Gazole P.S district Malda.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that he has installed a submersible pump for carrying out agricultural activities at his plot and has duly applied for electricity connection on 9.11.2024.

3. Learned counsel for the respondent - WBSEDCL submits that they had already raised the quotation amount and the petitioner has duly deposited the said amount.

4. Learned Counsel for the respondent - WBSEDCL submits that the authority is currently unable to proceed with the erection of new poles due to the ongoing agricultural activities in the area.

5. Learned counsel for the respondent WBSEDCL further assures this Court that upon completion of all requisite formalities by the petitioner, the electricity connection shall be provided within a period of 8 weeks from the date of this order..

6. In view of the submission made by the Learned counsel for the respondent WBSEDCL the present writ petition is disposed of in the above terms.
