03.01.2024 sdas Allowed C.R.M. (A) No. 4550 of 2024 In Re:- An application for anticipatory bail under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita in connection with Raghunathganj Police Station Case No. 1231 of 2024 dated 27.09.2024 under Sections 135/1(a) of the Indian Electricity Act.

And In Re : Kazirul Sekh @ Kajirul Sk. ..... petitioner Mr. Parvej Anam .....for the petitioner Mr. Bidyut Kumar Roy Ms. Sima Biswas ....for the State Mr. Aniket Mitra .... for WBSEDCL 1.

Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits he has deposited a sum of Rs.1,87,150/- against the final assessment bill for unmetered consumption of electricity to the tune of Rs.3,74,300/-.

This submission is not disputed by the learned Counsel appearing for electric company.

In view of this fact and bearing in mind the nature of allegations, we are inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. Accordingly, we direct that in the event of arrest the petitioner shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.2,000/-, with two sureties of like amount each, to the Signed By :

satisfaction of the arresting officer and also be subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 482(2) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita and on condition that he shall appear before the jurisdictional court and pray for regular bail within a period of four weeks from date.
