The petitioner claims to be a relative of the life convict namely Yusuf Warsi @ Baccha Raju who has already spent more than twenty-three years in custody and he prays for his premature release from imprisonment.

On a perusal of the documents annexed to the writ petition, it appears that no representation or request to that effect from the life convict has been made.

In view thereof, the instant writ petition is disposed of by observing that it will be open for the life convict, namely Yusuf Warsi @ Baccha Raju, to apply before the competent authority for his premature release.

In the event such an application is made, the same shall be considered in accordance with law and the prevailing guidelines at the earliest but positively within eight weeks from the date of filing of such application. A reasoned order shall

be passed and communicated to the applicant immediately thereafter.

All parties are to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this court.

Certified copy of this order, if applied for, shall be made available to the parties.
