Affidavit-of-service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record.

Petitioner participated in the selection process for being appointed as Constable (G.D.) under Central Armed Police Forces (for short, 'CAPFs'). The selection process where petitioner participated was of 2024.

From the submissions made on behalf of the parties, it appears that selection process for the year 2025 commenced in the meantime and it is submitted by the learned advocate for the respondent that merit list was published on 13th December, 2025 whereas present writ petition was filed on 23rd December, 2025. Such fact goes to show that present writ petition was filed after initiation of the selection process for filling up the post of Constable (G.D.) under CAPFs for the year

2025.

There is no plausible explanation disclosed in this writ petition for delay caused in approaching this Court in connection with the selection process of 2024.

After initiation of fresh selection process of 2025 for recruiting in the post of Constable (G.D.) under CAPFs previous selection process of 2024 comes to end and right of the candidate who participated in the previous selection process of 2024 for being considered for appointment is withered away.

At this belated stage no relief can be granted to the petitioner.

The writ petition stands dismissed.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the learned Advocates for the parties on the usual undertakings.
