Report submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the State be kept with the record. Earlier on 20.12.2024, an accommodation was sought for on behalf of the petitioner.

Today when the writ petition has been called, none represents the petitioner.

No accommodation is sought for on behalf of petitioner.

Petitioner is aggrieved by the inaction of the police authorities. Records reflect that complaint was filed on 02.12.2024 with the Commissioner of Police, Howrah City Police.

State has submitted a report which reflects that against the petitioner at least 16 cases were registered which included Bally Police Station, Liluah Police Station, Muchipara Police Station, Malipanchghora Police Station and Golabari Police Station.

The content of the accusations in the aforesaid information to the Commissioner of Police, Howrah City Police was with regard to the police officers concerned.

Having regard to the fact that the petitioner is a history-sheeter and simply wild allegations have been made without any substantive materials, the same do not call for interference to take action against the police authorities, I am of the view that petitioner be well advised to approach the jurisdictional Magistrate under the relevant provisions of Section 175(4) of BNSS. No further interference is called for.

Accordingly, the writ petition being WPA 29946 of 2024 is dismissed.

Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
