1. Affidavit of service, as filed, be kept with the record.

2. In spite of service, the School Authority is not represented.

3. The petitioner's application for transfer on general ground of distance made sometime in 2021 is pending consideration before the School Authority. There are several other reasons why he has sought for transfer, including spouse-medical and well-being of family members, particularly his father.

4. However, since a long period of time has lapsed after the application was made in 2021; the petitioner is granted liberty to make a fresh application with the School Authority.

5. Upon receipt of such application, the School Authority will dispose of the same, if the petitioner is found to be otherwise eligible and forward it to the concerned District Inspector of Schools, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the application.

6. Since the 'Utsashree Portal' is temporarily suspended, the petitioner will be at liberty to make such an application in the offline mode, which will be considered by the School Authority.

7. With these observations, the writ-petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.
