Petitioner contends he is in custody for more than 600 days. Co-accused have been enlarged on bail. Therefore, he prays for bail.

Learned Advocate for State opposes the bail prayer. He submits petitioner is the principal accused and does not stand on the same footing with the said co-accused. 3.

We have considered the materials on record.

Petitioner dealt the fatal blow on the victim. He does not stand on the same footing with co-accused who are on bail.

Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of petitioner is rejected.
