Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner who was helper of a truck is in custody since June, 2025 and is innocent of the charges. Learned advocate appearing for the State, on the other hand, opposes the prayer for bail and submits that there has been recovery of 7500 bottles of cough syrup; charge-sheet has already been submitted and all the accused persons have been arrested.

Having considered the quantum of recovery of the contraband in the present case, I am of the view that the provision of Section 37 of the NDPS Act is attracted. As such, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. The application for bail, being CRM (NDPS) 25 of 2026, is, thus, dismissed.
