The petitioners are the para-teachers of different Secondary and Higher Secondary schools in the State. They are praying fixation of their scale of pay at per with the regular teachers of such schools.

Mr. Bhattacharyya, learned Counsel for the petitioners submits that the representation of the petitioners to the said effect is pending before the Principal Secretary, Finance Department, Government of West Bengal and the Secretary, Department of School Education, Government of West Bengal, he prays that the said authorities may be directed to consider the said representation.

On last occasion, Mr. Nag, learned Counsel for the State respondents had appraised this Court that similarly type of representation was disposed of by the Principal Secretary, Finance Department, Government of West Bengal rejecting the similar prayer.

In view of the rejection of the same prayer of the similarly placed persons, no further direction as prayed for by the petitioners is necessary. WPA 28695 of 2023 is therefore dismissed without any order as to costs.
