1. By way of filing this public interest litigation, the petitioner seeks for direction to consider the representation dated 28th November, 2023, wherein the grievance is that a public bus route no.71, Howrah Maidan to Salt Lake Sector - V is not covering the entire route, as a result of which many of the passengers are left at the mercy of the private bus operators.

2. We direct the 4th respondent to conduct a surprise inspection of the said public bus route no.71 and ensure that the said public bus route covers the entire route allotted to the said bus. Let this direction be complied within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of server copy of this order.

3. With the above directions, the writ petition stands disposed of.

4. No costs.

5. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties expeditiously upon usual formalities.
