By the said order the concerned authority was directed to pass a reasoned order and to communicate the same to the petitioner. Recently the Larger Bench has delivered a decision on the issue of higher scale of pay.

This Court is, therefore, of the considered view that no useful purpose will be served in keeping this contempt application pending. The contempt application stands disposed of by giving liberty to the petitioner to file a fresh representation before the concerned authority in accordance with the judgement passed by the Larger Bench on the issue of higher scale of pay.

With the above observations, CPAN 1560 of 2017 stands disposed of.
