Golam Nure Imrohi Ms. Sushingdha Bhattacharya Mr. Partha Pratim Sinha ......For the Petitioner It is the grievance of the petitioner that respondent nos. 5 and 6, his neighbours, are carrying out unauthorized construction on Plot No. 1352, Village - Bharatpur, District - North 24 Parganas, under Police Station - Banagram, without obtaining any permission from the Panchayat Authority. The petitioner has also claimed ownership over the said plot, although this Court is not concerned with determining the right, title, or interest of the petitioner over the land in question.

It appears that, by an e-mail dated 31st October, 2025, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted a representation before the concerned Gram Panchayat, requesting that necessary action be taken.

In view of the foregoing, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the Pradhan, Ganrapota Gram Panchayat, respondent no. 4, to take appropriate steps in response to the representation dated 31st October, 2025, in accordance with Section 23(5) of the West Bengal Panchayat Act, 1973, if any unauthorized construction is found to have been carried out on the relevant plot by respondent nos. 5 and 6. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of two weeks from the date of communication of this order.

Accordingly, WPA 29806 of 2025 stands disposed of.
