Report submitted by the State reflects that the investigation of the case is in progress and pursuant to the information so furnished and orders passed by the learned CJM, Malda, the victim boy came to the police station and his statement was recorded under section 180 of the BNSS. He was sent for medical examination and his statement was recorded also under section 183 of the BNSS. The Investigating Officer also recovered the involved motorcycle bearing number WB 66AJ 0566.

Having considered the steps taken by the police authorities, I am of the view that no case has been made out for transfer of investigation to any other agency. The investigating agency will take the

investigation to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 29891 of 2024 is disposed of.
