Private opposite parties were granted bail by the order dated August 7, 2023 by the Chief Judicial Magistrate.

Police case is one of forgery.

Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that amount involved is in excess of Rupees One crore and that forensic evidence establish that the signature of his client was forged on the document concerned.

State is represented.

Police filed charge-sheet.

Police case is based primarily on documentary evidence. Need for cancellation of the bail to place the private opposite parties in custody is not felt. In any event, the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate

proceeded to view the offences as involving civil disputes.

In such circumstances, the order granting bail cannot be said to be perverse. We find no merit in the present application.

Accordingly, C.R.M. (DB) 4804 of 2023 is dismissed.
