Affidavit of service so filed be kept with the record. Report submitted by Ms. Sujata Das, learned advocate appearing for the State be kept with the record. Record reflects that the learned Special Court after examination of the first witness on 9th February, 2023 has been pleased to fix the next date on 2nd February, 2024 for evidence which is almost after one year.

Having considered the plight expressed by the present petitioner, I am of the view that the same is justified. Accordingly, the learned Special Court is directed to fix a schedule consisting of three dates and fix such schedule once in every month, so that the trial of the case is concluded within the reasonable period of time. No unnecessary adjournment be given to either of the parties. In case any witness is absent, the Superintendent of Police/Commissioner of Police of the concerned zone be informed so that the effective steps are taken for ensuring the presence of the witnesses. The learned Public Prosecutor

conducting the case would produce the material documents and exhibits on the date so fixed for examination of the witnesses concerned. All stakeholders would cooperate the trial court to conclude the trial at the earliest. With the aforesaid observations, CRR 4929 of 2023 is disposed of.
