Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner is the aged father of the respondent no.5 and father in law of the respondent no.6. He owns the property in question. But the private respondents have been harassing and disturbing the possession and enjoyment of the property by the petitioner and his wife. They had been committing torture and assault. Complaints were lodged before the police, but no action was taken.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State relies on the report and submits as follows. The police registered an FIR being Nandigram PS Case No. 1205 dated 02.08.2023 on the complaint of the petitioner. Now a charge sheet being

Charge sheet no. 1376 dated 30.11.2023 has been filed under Sections 448, 323, 325, 506 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code. Subsequently, another FIR was registered against the accused being Nandigram PS Case No. 1368 dated 26.10.2023. This also ended in a charge sheet dated 18.11.2023. A proceeding under Section 107 of the Code has also been initiated the behest of the petitioner. The police are keeping a close watch on the developments in the locality. It appears that the police have acted on the allegations of torture made by the petitioner against her son and daughter in law. Two FIRs were registered both of which ended in a charge sheet. Proceeding was also initiated under Section 107 of the Code.

Therefore, no further order need be passed in this regard.

The police authorities shall keep a close watch on the developments in the locality and ensure that no harm is done to the present petitioner and his wife.

If any untoward incident occurs or is apprehended by the petitioner, he shall be at liberty to contact with the local police personnel who shall then act in accordance with law. With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.
