The petitioner contends that the order of the Regional Grievance Redressal Officer, Murshidabad Region, West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited has been violated. An order directing the Station Manager, Sagardighi Customer Care Centre to replace the temporary bamboo structures through which the connection had been given to the submersible pump of the petitioner, by permanent PCC poles and matching materials within a period of two months had been passed. The same has not been complied with. 2.

The authority also recorded that as per the statement of the Station Manager, Rs.31,563.68/- was lying unpaid, which could result in disconnection.

The petitioner submits that the line had been disconnected, but Rs.31,563.68/- has been deposited on April 12, 2024.

Mr. Nayak, learned advocate for the distribution company submits that Rs.14,463/- is due and payable towards late payment surcharge and unless the said

amount is paid neither the connection shall be granted nor the bamboo pole shall be replaced by permanent structure.

Under such circumstances, the petitioner is granted liberty to liquidate the amount claimed by the authority as LPSC in four instalments. Upon the petitioner paying the late payment surcharge as directed hereinabove, the bamboo structure shall be replaced by proper PCC poles and materials. The authority will issue a letter with the quantum payable and the dates of payment by four instalments within two weeks from date.

The entire exercise shall be completed within a month from the deposit of the last instalment.

Accordingly the writ petition is disposed of. 8.
