The petitioner seeks renewal of his passport. 2.

Learned ASGI submits, upon instructions, that the petitioner is required to make application online for renewal of passport.

It will be open for the petitioner to apply online for renewal of passport.

In the event such an application is made, the same shall be considered by the authority in accordance with law at the earliest but positively within a period of four weeks from the date of filing the application.

5.

The petitioner shall be obliged to comply with all the statutory formalities for renewal of the passport.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
