Mr. Sourajit Dasgupta Mr. Hiranak Ganguly ... for the petitioner This application under Article of the Constitution of India is at the instance of the husband praying for a direction upon the learned Additional District Judge, 10th Court at Alipore to dispose of the Matrimonial Suit No. 87 of 2000 expeditiously.

The learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the issues are yet to be framed in the matrimonial suit which is pending from the year 2000. He further submits that the petitioner has filed an application praying for modification of the order enhancing the alimony pendente lite which is still pending. The learned Additional District Judge, 10th Court at Alipore is requested to take up the hearing of the application for modification of the order dated 31st January, 2025 passed in Matrimonial Suit No. 87 of 2000 on the next date fixed and to make an endeavour to dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible. In view of the order sought and proposed to be passed, there is no necessity to issue notice upon the

opposite parties. However, the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner shall be obliged to forward a copy of this application along with this order upon the opposite parties or upon the learned advocates representing them before the learned trial judge.

The learned Additional District Judge, 10th Court at Alipore is requested to make an endeavour to dispose of the Matrimonial Suit No. 87 of 2000 as expeditiously as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties after disposal of the application for modification of the order enhancing the alimony pendente lite keeping in mind that the matrimonial suit is pending from the year 2000.

With the above observations, C.O. 4345 of 2024 stands disposed of.

There shall be, however, no order as to costs. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
