1. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner complied with all formalities after applying for fresh electricity connection, but such new connection has not yet been given.

2. Learned counsel for the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) submits that there were certain wayleave issues due to resistance in the locality, for which the connection could not be given till now. However, on instruction, learned counsel for the WBSEDCL assures that the connection shall positively be given by April 20, 2024.

3. In view of such fair submission on the part of the WBSEDCL, W.P.A. No. 28908 of 2023 is disposed of by directing the WBSEDCL to positively

give the new electricity connection to the petitioner on or before April 20, 2024.

4. There will be no order as to costs.

5. Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
