And In the matter of : Niranjan Pramanick .......Petitioner None appears for the petitioner or for the State. The application for bail was preferred in the year 2015. At the stage when the application for bail was preferred, the petitioner was in custody for 37 days.

Having regard to the time period, which has lapsed during the pendency of the application for bail, I am of the view that the order under challenge has become infructuous. Accordingly, CRM 11649 of 2015 is dismissed.

However, the petitioner would be at liberty to apply afresh if subsequently cause of action arises.
