Records reveal that the present appeal has been preferred challenging an order dated 13th July, 2024 passed by the learned Single Judge in WPA 11277of 2018.
On 5th August, 2024 an order was passed by a Coordinate Bench of this Court in the present appeal observing, inter alia, that:- 'Be that as it may, it would be appropriate to request the Director, Finance to submit a report on the claim made by the private respondent. Director, Finance will afford the private respondent before us an opportunity of hearing.
Director, Finance is at liberty to take such assistance of his department as he deems appropriate.
Let such report be submitted on August 19, 2024.
List the matter on August 19, 2024.'
Mr. Pal, learned advocate appearing for the appellants submits that complying with the said order dated 5th August, 2024, the Director, Finance has passed an order, upon granting opportunity of hearing to the writ petitioner/respondent no.1. A copy of the said order was also communicated to the writ petitioner.
Mr. Bag, learned advocate appearing for the writ petitioner/respondent no.1 submits, upon instruction, that in view of the order passed by the Director, Finance the writ petitioner's grievances have been redressed.
In view thereof, no further interference is called for in the present appeal.
The appeal being MAT 2520 of 2023 and the connected application being CAN 2 of 2024 are, accordingly, disposed of.
There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties, upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
