1. Affidavit of service filed in Court today is taken on record.

2. The petitioner claims to have made an application for obtaining arms license in the prescribed format.

3. From the documents annexed to the writ petition the receipt showing submission of the application for obtaining the arms license in the prescribed format is not available.

4. In view of the above, the instant writ petition is disposed by granting leave to the petitioner to make formal application in the prescribed format for obtaining the arms license, if not made earlier.

5. In the event such an application is on record with the authority, then the same shall be considered by the District Magistrate, Nadia or his authorized

representative in accordance with law at the earliest but positively within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of this order. If any document is wanting from the petitioner, the same shall be made known to the petitioner.

6. If the application has already been made in the prescribed format, the same shall be forwarded to the District Magistrate at the time of communication of this order.

7. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
