1. Police filed charge sheet of abetment to commit suicide as against the petitioner.

2. Post-mortem report suggests that, the death was due to ingestion of unknown poison, ante-mortem and suicidal in nature.

3. Victim apparently was 17 years of age.

4. The issue as to whether the petitioner is guilty of abetment of the commission of suicide or not, may be decided at the trial.

5. Considering the period of custody and the fact that the police filed charge sheet and the post-mortem report of the victim, we grant bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, we direct that the petitioner, namely, Rajat Roy, shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of

Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only), with two sureties of like amount each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the Learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Krishnagar, Nadia, subject to conditions that the petitioner shall appear before the learned trial court on every date of hearing until further orders and shall not intimidate witnesses and/or tamper with evidence in any manner whatsoever.

In the event, the petitioner fails to comply with the conditions as enshrined hereinbefore, it is open to the trial court to cancel the bail without further reference to this Court.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is allowed.

CRM (DB) 4367 of 2024 is disposed of.
