Case No. 255 of 2024 dated 20.10.24 has been registered for investigation under Section 125(b) of BNS, 2023.

The petitioner happens to be the wife of said Biplab Mondal, who is aggrieved by the progress of investigation and, more particularly, the manner in which the employer has been granted bail

without any compensation being granted to the defacto-complainant, who because of circumstances while working in the mill suffered a consequence for which one of his hands had to be amputated.

Learned advocate for the State has submitted a report, which reflects that the criminal case is progressing.

In view of the nature of the case, no culpability cannot be fixed on any person. However, the issue relating to compensation, which the petitioner/s husband/defacto-complainant is entitled to under the different provisions of law, requires specific application to be made before the appropriate authorities.

So far as the investigation of the case is concerned, the police authorities are directed to take the same to its logical conclusion within a reasonable

period of time.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 30502 of 2024 is disposed of.

Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of.

Report so submitted be kept with the record. Let a copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate for the petitioner.
