1. It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that he is on bail in another case. It is further submitted petitioner has been falsely implicated. Accordingly, he prays for bail.

2. Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits trial is in progress.

3. We have considered the materials on record. Allegations involve assault on police personnel who had come to arrest the co-accused. Petitioner has criminal antecedents and he was involved in the crime. Trial is in progress. Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.
