Petitioner has preferred the present writ petition seeking necessary direction against WBSEDCL in granting electricity connection to the private respondent, Mr. Ali Mallick qua his plot no. 974/2708, J.L. No. 080, Khatian No. 897, Mouza - Madhabpur, within the local limits of Jamalpur Police Station, District - Purba Bardhaman. It is the case of the petitioner that his plot of land is adjacent to the land of the private respondent and hence granting electricity connection to the private respondents will cause irreparable loss and damages to the petitioner. 2.

Learned Counsel for the respondent authorities has drawn attention of this Court to a reasoned order passed on 18.11.2024 by the Station Manager,

Jamalpur, wherein this issue has already been taken into account and the department has denied the application of the private respondent Md. Ali Mallick on the ground that he has not able to provide right of clearance for installation of new electricity connection. The present petition has been filed under the apprehension that the department might consider the application of Md. Ali Mallick.

Since there respondent has already decided this issue by its earlier reasoned order dated 18.11.2024, the apprehension of the petitioner is misconceived at this stage.

In view of the above, the present writ petition is premature and hence, the same is dismissed.
