Petitioner(s) Mr. Debanshu Ghorai Mr. Litan Maitra Mr. Ayan Biswas ... for the Petitioner(s) Mr. Pratick Bose ... for the State-respondent(s) Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the subject-matter of the case involves recovery of 7 kg 800 gm of contraband. Learned advocate also added that the petitioner is in custody for 45 days.

Learned advocate for the State, on the other hand, opposes the prayer for bail and draws the attention of the court to the seizure list which reflects that there were recoveries from the shop of the present petitioner. It is also submitted by the learned advocate that, earlier, anticipatory bail prayer of the present petitioner was rejected. Having considered the fact that the subject-matter involved is of intermediate quantity, I am of the view that further detention of the present petitioner is unwarranted.

Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Allowed.

Accordingly, the petitioner viz, Subhendu Biswas @ Satya @ Satyajit Biswas@ Subhendu Satya Saty Biswas @ Satya Satyajit Biswas shall be released on bail upon furnishing bond of Rs.20,000/-(Rupees Twenty Thousand only), with two sureties of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the learned Judge, Special Court (NDPS Act), Nadia at Krishnagar.

If on bail, the petitioner shall make himself physically available on each and every date so fixed by the learned trial court and shall not leave the jurisdiction of the district of Nadia without prior permission of the learned Special Court.

Accordingly, CRM(NDPS) 1745 of 2025 is allowed. Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta.
