This revisional application has been filed with a prayer for expeditious disposal of a case, being Special Case No.01 of 2018 pending before the learned Judge, Special Court under NDPS Actcum-Additional District Judge, 2nd Court, Berhampore, Murshidabad.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has submitted that earlier one revisional application was filed before the this Court and a Coordinate Bench passed an order dated 7th February, 2022 in connection with CRR 1012 of 2020, directing the learned Trial Judge to take all efforts and endeavour to frame charge as well as to complete the trial within a reasonable period of time.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has supplied a copy of the revisional application upon Mr. Arijit Ganguly, learned counsel, who usually appears before this Court on behalf of the State. He is requested to represent the State in

the matter along with his junior. Let their appearances be regularised by the appropriate authorities.

Heard learned counsel appearing on behalf of the parties. 5.

Considering all facts and circumstances, I find that necessary direction should be promulgated for consideration of charge as well as early disposal of the case, which is pending since 2018, before the learned Trial Judge.

Learned Trial Judge is requested to frame charge on the next date fixed for consideration of charge. In case of absence of any of the accused, necessary steps according to the procedure shall have to be taken against the accused to ensure their presence before the Court.

Learned Trial Judge is also requested to dispose of the case within six months from the date of framing of charge. 8.

Petitioner is at liberty to communicate this order to the learned Trial Judge forthwith for compliance. 9.

With the aforesaid observation and direction, the revisional application stands disposed of.

All parties shall act on the basis of a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. 11.
