CAN 1 of 2025 has been filed seeking condonation of delay of 145 days in filing the instant appeal. 2.

Sufficient grounds have been made out in the instant application explaining such delay. Hence, the delay is condoned.

According, CAN 1 of 2025 is allowed and disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

An accommodation is sought for the second time on behalf of the appellant. The same cannot be entertained.

It appears that one of the respondents under a multistoried complex in which several beneficiaries of electric supply, exist.

The CESC is granting comprehensive supply through a city/block meter in the name of Emami Reality Limited, who is ultimately making payment to the CESC. All consumers in the said

city/block meter numbering in individual commercial establishments are receiving supply from a common city/block meter in the name of Emami Reality Limited and are making payment to the latter. 7.

In the above circumstances, the appellant's prayer for grant of individual separate meter, therefore, cannot be entertained.

The power to supply a number of individual consumers residing in one location or market place is recognized under Clause 18 of the West Bengal Electricity Regulatory Commission (Recovery of Expenditure for Providing New Connections) Regulations, 2013. The appellant's claim for individual meter existing under the block meter, therefore, cannot be entertained.

In those circumstances, no relief can be granted to the appellant. This Court does not find any infirmity with the order of the Single Bench.

10. Accordingly. The instant appeal is, therefore, dismissed.
