1. The petitioner says that he has been framed in this matter. He has been made a scapegoat. Higher officials are involved who have not been arraigned as accused persons. There was no recovery from him. He is in custody for 130 days. Investigation is complete. His further custodial detention is unnecessary.

2. Opposing the prayer for bail, learned State advocate draws our attention to the material in the case diary. There is sufficient prima facie material against the petitioner who was a Deputy General Manager of Durgapur Steel Plant. He held a highly responsible position. Misusing the position of trust, he misappropriated huge amounts running into crores.

3. In view of the aforesaid prima facie material and heinous nature of the offence, we are not inclined to entertain the prayer for bail, at this stage.

4. CRM (DB) 4378 of 2024 is dismissed.
