Mr. Anjan Bhattacharya Ms. Anita Shaw, Ms. Salma Sultana ... for the petitioner Mr. Soumya Majumder, Sr. Adv, Mr. Victor Chatterjee, Ms. Sanjukta Dutta ... for University Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner retired from the respondent University in 2018 as a Senior Assistant. However, his retiral dues are not being paid according to the last pay drawn. He made several representations in this regard, lastly on 2nd April, 2024. But, the said representations have not been responded to as yet.

Learned senior counsel representing the respondent University denies the allegations. However, he submits that in the event a representation is pending, the same will be considered in accordance with law.

In view of the above, let the respondent No. 3 consider the petitioner's representation dated

02.04.2024 in this regard in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, preferably within eight weeks from the date of communication of this order. Within a week thereafter, the outcome of such consideration shall be communicated to the petitioner.

With these observations and directions, this writ petition is disposed of.

It is clarified that as affidavits have not been called for, the allegations made shall be deemed not to have been admitted.

It is further made clear that the merits of the case have not been gone into.

Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon compliance of necessary formalities.
