In view of the urgency pleaded the matter is taken up for hearing. The State respondents are represented. The grievance of the petitioners is against holding of any festival or Carnival on 31 December, 2025 at Taraltala. It is contended that holding of any proposed Carnival causes immense hardship and harassment to the local residents.

The State-respondents are represented and submits that no permission whatsoever has been sought for as on date for holding any Carnival at the subject locality.

In view of the submissions made on behalf of the State, the grievance of the writ petitioners is misconceived. The petition is based on surmises and conjectures and devoid of any particulars. This petition is not maintainable and is dismissed as being premature.

WPA(P) 589 of 2025 stands dismissed. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
