Learned advocate for the petitioner and learned advocate for the respondent no.1/State of West Bengal are present. Heard learned advocates.

The writ petition is directed against the inaction of the respondent nos.3 and 4 to consider the representation for grant of parole submitted by wife of writ petitioner.

It is contended by the writ petitioner that he was implicated in 11 cases and all the cases have been stayed by an order passed by a learned Coordinate Bench of this Court. Learned advocate draws attention to the order dated December 11, 2024 at page 59 of the writ petition.

Upon hearing the learned advocate for the writ petitioner and learned advocate for the respondent no.1/State of West Bengal, this Court is of the view that at this stage, it would be proper
and reasonable to direct the respondent authorities to consider the representation of the writ petitioner sympathetically.

Thus, this writ petition is disposed with a direction upon the respondent nos.3 and 4 to consider and decide the representation made by the wife of the writ petitioner for grant of parole in accordance with law and take a reasoned decision. Such decision shall be taken within a period of ten days from the date of communication of this order and the same to be communicated to the writ petitioner thereafter.
6. All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court.
