Heard the learned Advocates for the parties.

We have considered the materials on record. Over 10,000 bottles of phensedyl syrup containing codeine phosphate were recovered from a bolero vehicle. Investigation has revealed involvement of the petitioner in the transportation of narcotic substance. Investigation is in progress and custodial interrogation of the petitioner for unravelling further evidence is necessary.

Keeping in mind the gravity of offence and in view of statutory restrictions under Section 37 of the NDPS Act, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.
