Petitioner's grievance is that in spite of being recommended for a job in the ASHA Scheme in the District of Paschim Medinipur, Post OfficeSabang, she was denied appointment on the ground that she was not a resident of the local area after her marriage, in the District of Murshidabad.

The reasoned order dated April 10, 2013, by the respondent no. 6, cannot be questioned in any manner.

However, to give an opportunity to the petitioner, I direct the respondent no. 6 to consider any further document that the petitioner may want to produce in support of her contention that at the material point of time she was a permanent resident of Sabang. This consideration

will not create any equity in her favour and will only be effective, if there is a vacancy available in the said Scheme.

Petitioner will make a representation to such extent by March 15, 2026.

Respondent no. 6 will consider and dispose of such representation by March 30, 2026, upon intimation to the petitioner.

With these aforestated directions, the writ petition along with connected application being CAN 1 of 2020 are disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
