Smt. Salma Molla, Pradhan of Gordewani Gram Panchayat is present in court in response to the Rule. She tenders unqualified apology for the delay in complying with the order of this court.

Mr. Ray, learned advocate for the alleged contemnor, hands over the compliance report.

It appears that a reasoned order has been passed.

It was found that there had been unauthorized construction. Neither any sanction nor any permission had been granted by the concerned gram panchayat. The entire construction of the three storeyed building, was found to be wholly without any permission.

It is submitted that the documents and the records have been transmitted to the concerned SubDivisional Officer.

Accordingly the contempt application is disposed of and the contempt proceeding is dropped. The Rule is discharged.

Personal appearance of the alleged contemnor is dispensed with.

Needless to mention, the Sub-Divisional Officer shall act in accordance with law and take necessary action in terms of Section 23(5) of the West Bengal Panchayat Act.
