The present writ petition of the year 2008 has been preferred praying for direction upon the respondent no. 2 not to give effect to the impugned letter dated 03.07.2008 (Annexure P-1).

It appears from the letter under challenge that the General Secretary of the association informed the General Manager, Postal Accounts (Finance) that he did not authorize any person to deal in the matter except otherwise elected committee of the association and any earlier letter mentioning names of authorized persons be treated as void.

The writ petition has been preferred by one Mr. Shankar Bandyopadhyay, President of the association and the letter under challenge is a re-verification of union membership through authorization.

Considering the matter under challenge, this Court finds no reason to interfere with the said letter which is an internal decision taken by the General Secretary.

None appears on behalf of either sides since listing.

Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed for default.

WPA 31042 of 2008 is accordingly disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.

All connected applications, if any, stand disposed of.

Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
