The writ application has been preferred praying for expeditious disposal of Certificate Case No. 25/Cert/G/14-15 (arising out of Gratuity Case No. 18/G/2013), now pending before the Certificate Officer, Chandernagoare, Hooghly.

It appears that the Controlling Authority in the present case passed an order on 20.05.2014. No appeal was preferred by the respondent/company. 3.
The Controlling Authority issued a notice on 24.07.2014 and also a certificate to the Certificate Officer on 25.08.2014. The Certificate Officer issued a notice to the respondent/company on 22.01.2015 and the last order was passed by the Certificate Officer on 24.02.2015. Since then the proceeding is pending. 4.
Considering the said facts, the writ application is disposed of with the direction that the Certificate Officer shall make all endeavour to dispose of the proceedings pending before it since 2015 in
accordance with law within four months from the date of this order.

The District Magistrate, Hooghly, is requested to ensure that the proceedings are disposed of as directed.
There will be no order as to costs.
Connected application, if any, stands disposed of.
Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties, upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
