The present writ petition has been instituted by the petitioner being aggrieved by the in-action on the part of the respondent authority in providing electricity connection to his agricultural land to carry out agricultural activities.

It is the case of the petitioner that he is the owner of agricultural land being Dag no. 12 in J.L. no. 94, Mouza - Palitapara. The petitioner had applied for an electricity connection and had deposited the requisite amount vide receipt dated 21.12.2015, however, no electricity connection had been provided to him. Being aggrieved by the prolonged in-action on the part of the respondent authority, he had submitted a representation dated 25.11.2024.

Learned Counsel for the respondent WBSEDCL submits that they shall decide the petitioner's representation dated 25.11.2024 within a period of
three weeks after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as all other interested parties. 4.
Learned Counsel for the petitioner agrees to the said submission made by the respondent and states that he shall be satisfied if his representation is decided in a time bound manner.

In view of the statement made by the learned Counsel for the respondent authorities, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the present writ petition with a direction upon the respondent authorities to decide petitioner's representation dated 25.11.2024 within a period of three weeks from the date of communication of this order.

With the above direction, the present writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Let urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties on usual undertaking.
