Case of the petitioner is that he, being a member of West Bengal Tankers' Association, HPCL Unit Budge Budge, participated in a tender process floated by the Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited. There was a provision for reservation under the Scheduled Tribe quota.

On the apprehension that the authority might select bidders who possess fake and forged caste certificates, an objection was raised before the tender issuing authority by the Tankers' Association.

By the time the writ petition was filed and the same was taken up for consideration, the authority considered the objection raised by the Association and found the petitioner to be the

successful bidder. A provisional letter of acceptance dated January 20, 2025 in favour of the unit of the petitioner has been issued.

As it appears that the petitioner has emerged as the successful bidder, accordingly, nothing remains to be decided in the instant writ petition. 5.

Hence, the writ petition stands dismissed as 'infructuous'.

The provisional letter of acceptance dated January 20, 2025 forwarded by HPCL be taken on record.

All parties are to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this court.

Certified copy of this order, if applied for, shall be made available to the parties.
