1. This instant joint petition has been filed by the petitioner as well as opposite party no.2 with a prayer for quashing the proceeding against the petitioner as the dispute between the parties has already been settled amicably and also by a written agreement in terms of settlement on mutual consent.

2. Heard learned counsel appearing on behalf of the parties.

3. Both the parties to this application have prayed for quashing the proceeding against the petitioner.

4. Heard learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State.

5. The revisional application has been preferred for quashing of the proceeding in connection with G.R. Case No. 87 of 2021 corresponding to Burtolla Police Station

Case No. 15 of 2021 under Section 498A/406/34 of the Indian Penal code, 1860, where chargesheet was submitted before the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate-I, Calcutta.

6. After hearing both the learned appearing on behalf of the parties, I find no reason to stand in the way of compromise as further proceeding in this case will be abuse of process of Court.

7. In the aforesaid view of the matter, the proceeding in connection with G.R. Case No. 87 of 2021, corresponding to Burtolla Police Station Case No. 15 of 2021 under Section 498A/406/34 of the Indian Penal Code stands quashed against the petitioner/Raghu Nath Gupta only.

8. In the aforesaid observation, the application being, CRAN 1 of 2025 stands disposed of.

In Re: CRR 5449 of 2024

9. In view of the order passed in CRAN 1 of 2025, the instant revisional application being, CRR 5449 of 2024 stands disposed of accordingly.
