1. The petitioner says that she is in custody for about five months. Allegedly just over commercial quantity of Ganja was seized from her at the Dum Dum International Airport. She was not aware of the contents of the suitcase that she was carrying. Charge sheet has been filed after completion of the investigation. She prays for bail.

2. Opposing the prayer for bail, learned advocate for the Customs Authorities says that this petitioner and a coaccused lady were travelling together under the same PNR number. Between the two of them they were carrying about 41 kgs. of Ganja from Bangkok. The co-accused lady had approached this Court for bail by filing CRM (NDPS) 1942 of Signed By :

2024. However, she did not press this application which was, therefore, dismissed by an order dated January 21, 2025.

3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and that commercial quantity of Ganja is involved, we are not inclined to allow the petitioner's prayer for bail, at this stage.

4. The application for bail is, thus, dismissed.

5. All parties shall act on the server copies of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

6. Criminal Section is directed to supply certified copies of this order to the parties, if applied for, upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
