Mr. Kazi Sajjad Alam ... for the State-respondent(s) Since the appeal is pending before the Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Home and Hill Affairs, Government of West Bengal, which was admitted pursuant to the order passed in WPA 16258 of 2022 on or about 7th December, 2022, I direct that as more than two years have passed, the concerned authority would pass its verdict in the appeal within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of

this order.

The appellant and any other respondent(s) would be allowed two dates within the aforesaid period for presenting their version in the appeal.

The Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Home and Hill Affairs, Government of West Bengal, would after issuing notice(s) fix such dates and within the timeline pass necessary order(s) as he/she deems fit and proper as also communicate such order to the appellant (the petitioner herein) within 15 days from the date of passing of such order.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 30870 of 2024 is disposed of.
