The petitioner is aggrieved by the continuance of Santipur P.S. Case No.

1555 of 2024 dated 07.12.2024 under Section 137(2) of the BNS, which was initiated at the instance of the respondent no.5.

The petitioner complains that he married to Pritha Ghosh @ Mondal, who is a major lady and, in spite of that, the police authorities on the complaint of the

respondent no.5 (father) recovered her in connection with the aforesaid case, thereafter, produced her before the court and pursuant to her statement before the learned Magistrate, she was released on P.R. bond.

The report of the Officer-in-charge of Santipur Police Station reflects that said Pritha Ghosh @ Mondal, at present, is residing with her husband, who is the present petitioner.

Having considered that there has been change of circumstances since the writ petition was preferred and the steps taken by the police authorities to ensure that there is no breach of peace and tranquility, I am of the view that no further order, at this stage, is required to be passed.

In case, the victim Pritha Ghosh @ Mondal faces any difficulty, she would

be at liberty to approach the learned jurisdictional Magistrate, who would pass necessary order(s) in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 30879 of 2024 is disposed of.
